The Regional Infrastructure Manager oversees the delivery of technology services, leads a team, manages infrastructure operations, integrates projects, controls budgets, and ensures staff meet KPIs.

 

Vice President, Regional Infrastructure Management

The Regional Infrastructure Manager reports to the VP, Group Head of Infrastructure, and is responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of technology services within the region.  This is a technical management role, leading a team of technology professions in the daily and ongoing support needs of the region.  This includes the daily operation of the technology infrastructure, incorporation of projects into BAU, managing to established budgets and ensuring staff are focused on established KPIs.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the senior technologists within the Jurisdiction
  • Managing staff and resources in order to achieve technology and business goals.
  • Managing the daily delivery of Technology Services, through oversight of the outsource delivery, internal technology structure and networks within stated KPIs and budget.
  • Working with the Technology leadership team to maintain Technology policies and procedures to include outsourced architecture, security, disaster recovery, standards and purchasing.
  • Maintaining documentation for existing technology systems architecture.
  • Assisting the VP, Group Head of Infrastructure to ensure existing and proposed technology systems and outsourced architecture are aligned with stated group objectives and are in compliance with corporate standards, regulatory guidance and where appropriate follow leading practice.
  • Partnering with Business Leads, Change Management and the Vendor Management Office to provide technology expertise when reviewing Technology based proposals, business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for technology spend and initiatives. 
  • Maintaining and monitoring appropriate controls for Technology within the region, including outsource providers.
  • Working with Technology leadership to maintain Technology Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans, testing and ensure continuity and connectivity in the event of an invocation.
  • Keeping current with trends and issues in the technology industry.

 

About the team

Information Technology covers a wide range of responsibilities at Butterfield including oversight of the Bank’s entire technology infrastructure, software development and maintenance to facilitate online product development and efficiencies as well as management of the website and intranet platforms. IT also plays a critical role in ensuring the Bank’s systems are kept safe and secure from cyber criminals.

 

Your qualifications and skills include:

  • A minimum of seven years’ experience in a related infrastructure management role.
  • Demonstrated ability to accomplish goals through effectively leading teams
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proven track record for successful change management
  • Ability to build relationships with stakeholders during the design, management and implementation of business change and throughout the service lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of voice and data networks, and overarching technologies, including local and international carriers, firewall configuration and general delivery management.
  • Experience in cloud architecture and delivery, as well as third party datacentre management.
  • Understanding of relevant international and domestic legislation applicable to the IT Risk and Control environment (e.g. SOX, data protection and cyber related topics).
  • Understanding of and ability to implement methods, techniques, countermeasures and contingency arrangements relating to the serious disruption of technology services.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion, be adaptable to various competing demands, and demonstrate the highest level of service and response
