Reporting to the the Senior Vice President, Head of Private Banking. Manages and develops a portfolio of high-net-worth individuals and is instrumental in business development and client servicing strategy.

 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a high level of service focused on banking, asset management, and trust services in order to source, manage, develop and maintain a portfolio of HNW client relationships.
  • Effectively managing client relationships, acting as a primary point of reference for all client needs.
  • Analysing and providing tailored solutions to meet client needs, including preparation of client relationship plans.
  • Maximising profitability by cross-selling and leveraging internal and external centres of influence
  • Managing, mentoring and developing direct reports and other team members within Private Banking
  • Collaborating with team members to proactively identify potential clients.
  • Achieving individual performance and development goals aligned with departmental objectives and budgets.
  • Visiting client sites, delivering presentations and representing the Bank at various formal business functions.
  • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of the banking industry and Butterfield products and services.
  • Maintaining an understanding of world affairs, economic, business and other relevant matters.
  • Representing the Bank in various business, social and community settings with a view to enhancing relationships with HNW clients.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

 

Your qualifications and skills include:

  • At least 10 years progressive experience in managing relationships with high-net-worth client portfolios
  • University Degree or equivalent in related experience.
  • Further financial professional qualification (eg. TEP, CFA, CFP) preferred.
  • Excellent understanding of banking products particularly cash and asset management, investments, deposits, trust and custody services, estate planning and credit.
  • Strong sales and service orientation with proven negotiation and business development skills combined with an ability to close new business and manage relationships.
  • Ability to identify client needs, propose financial services solutions, and experience preparing financial plans.
  • Proven ability to manage employees.
  • Strong personal commitment to the client and to corporate objectives.
  • Ability to identify complex opportunities and interpret and present information clearly and accurately in writing and verbally.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications.
