The Trainer/Consultant is responsible for the instructional design, training delivery and continuous improvement/upgrade of training materials as per contractual agreement.

 

Core Functions:

  • Design and develop material for the various subject areas based on the needs identified from needs assessment and training requests from the clients of the Industrial Training Unit of the QI BSJ.
  • Create and maintain a positive and professional learning environment
  • Able to deliver training and motivate trainees through effective training methodologies both in group and individual class dynamics.
  • Utilize a variety of training methodologies, techniques, concepts, learning tools and practices to ensure maximum effectiveness of training programmes.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

  • Develop and deliver training programmes utilizing skills in design and development and training methodologies in the areas of:
    • Anti-Bribery Management Systems
    • Quality Management Customer Service
  • High energy, enthusiastic, motivational training Facilitator
  • Excellent creative and conceptual thinking abilities
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Working knowledge of web-based systems and visual aid technology
  • Strong people management and leadership skills
  • Ability to speak publicly to all levels of stakeholders

 

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline e.g. Natural Sciences, Human Resource, Education or Business Administration
  • A Master’s Degree in related discipline would be an asset
  • Certified Trainer through a Train-the-Trainer programme OR Teacher/Educational Specialist Certificate, Diploma or Degree
  • Specialized training in the planning, design and delivery of training or instructional technology
  • Proficient in training methodologies, curriculum development and soft skill (communication skills, critical thinking, time management, group/team building)
  • Certificate in the related ISO Standards
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite
  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Trainer and experience in Industry in accordance with the area of expertise
