Technician III

Key Resonsibilities

• Carry out Quality verification rechecks on major and minor metering installations, to ensure a high degree of work quality and accurate material accountability.
• Conduct consumer claims investigation and provide reports.
• Conduct major and minor installation integrity investigation and correct defects.
• Be subjected to and comply with the requirements of the Safety and Health legislation, regulations and contractual obligations.
• Adhering to the Standard Line Practice Codes and Safety rules of the Company.
• To demonstrate his/her knowledge as a rescue operator to personnel in danger and to render First Aid treatment in cases of emergency.
• Perform other duties that may be assigned within the scope of your employment, from an Authorized Officer.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITY:

• · Excellent Communication Skills (verbal & Oral)
• · Attentive to details
• · Basic knowledge of practical engineering science technology.
• · Ability to accurately make numerical analysis.
• · Thorough knowledge of the operations of Power Generation, Distribution and associated auxiliary equipment
• · Knowledge of Power Plant monitoring systems.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Technician Diploma in Electrical Engineering from G.T.I. or its equivalent, with a minimum of two (2) years relevant experience.

OR

• Technician Certificate in Electrical Engineering Part II, from G.T.I. or its equivalent, with a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience.

OR

• Three (3) CXC subjects inclusive of Mathematics and English along with Craft Certificate (electrical) from a recognized training institution plus two (2) years’ experience in the electrical field.
