Technical Supervisor

The core functions include but not limited to the following:

• Provides support to the Senior Technical Officer in implementing all maintenance activities.
• Assists in the preparation of work orders, bids, etc.
• Mana ges the various databases.
• Assists in the monitoring of contractors.
• Assists in the preparation of specifications.
• Liaises closely with Facility Managers and Area Administrators to identify maintenance or project needs.
• Creates Tender documents for Contract.
• Performs minor surveying and leveling activities.
• Produces as Built accounts for all contracted works or as necessary.
• Provides weekly and monthly reports to the Senior Technical Officer and / or Manager or as required.
• Manages and supervises the day to day activities and time of the in house daily rated staff (Task Force,
• Cabinet making shop, Multi-skilled Craftsman).
• Produces Receiving Reports, Completion Certificates and Payment Certificates.
• Provides technical guidance to subordinate staff.
• Other duties as may be assigned by the Senior Technical Officer or Property Services Manager.
• Performs related work as may be required.
• Ability to perform duties according to assigned rosters or plans that can be formulated in times of authorized service exigencies.
• Ability to use the relevant computer applications related to job functions

• Required Qualifications, Training and Experience:
• Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Civil Engineering Technician Certificate (Construction & Building Trades) and three (3) years minimum experience in building and construction or National Craftsman Certificate.
• Certificate in Building Trades with 5 years minimum experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
