Amentum is seeking a Software Developer - Entry Level to develop and support multiple applications for the US Navy’s premier underwater testing facility, AUTEC on Andros Island, Bahamas.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of the software development lifecycle for existing and new product development.
  • Analyze and understand customer requirements and software design objectives.
  • Architect, design, and implement software applications.
  • Integrate and maintain computer software, hardware, and network infrastructure.
  • Maintain existing systems to include modifications, general troubleshooting, and communication with end-users.
  • Develop an understanding of AUTEC's off-shore range environment including data flows and tracking systems and algorithms.
  • Perform code reviews.
  • Willingness to share knowledge.
  • Support periods of 24 hour on-call.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned or requested.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • 0-2 years of related experience working in software development field.   
  • Bachelor’s degree in an associated discipline or equivalent. Four (4) years of related experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Security+ CE certification is required
  • Experience with Java and C#. 
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems.  
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience learning systems and business model.
  • Poses strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
  • Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.  
  • Valid Driver’s License and U.S. Passport are required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.?

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of IP-based networking (TCP, UDP, and UDP Multicast) and troubleshooting networked software applications, preferred.
  • Knowledge of relational databases preferably SQL Server, preferred.  
  • Understanding of tracking technologies (digital signal processing, RADAR, LATR, GPS), preferred.
