Senior Technical Officer

THE CORE FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:

• Provides day-to-day supervision of all technical and support staff
• Prepares and/or reviews tenders/bid documents (Specifications, Scope of Works, Bills of Quantities, Schedule of Values etc.) for contracted work
• Monitors Contractors’ performance on projects to ensure timely delivery of agreed tasks within the framework of the contract.
• Monitors Lease Agreements and Land Titles
• Prepares regular progress reports
• Assists in the preparation of Completion and Payment Certificates.
• Maintains Contractor’s Database.
• Ensures the deployment of adequate resources to meet planned targets.
• Performs any related functions which may be assigned from time to time.
• Ability to perform duties according to assigned rosters or plans that can be formulated in times of authorized service exigencies.
• Ability to use the relevant computer applications related to job functions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• Civil Engineering Technician Certificate (Construction & Building Trades)
• Five (5) years minimum experience in building and construction and Two (2) years at a supervisory level
