Senior Internal Auditor

Job Purpose:

The Senior Internal Auditor has the responsibility to plan, coordinate, conduct and report on audit engagements which review and evaluate operations and system controls within the organization in order to ensure standards have been met and objectives achieved; compliance with organizational policies and procedures, as well as laws and regulations; and the reliability of financial reporting.

The ideal candidate should have:

Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in either Accounting Business Administration or equivalent from an accredited tertiary institution 
• At least six (6) years’ auditing experience from either the internal audit department of a large public or private sector organization and/or a public accounting firm 
• Comprehensive knowledge of auditing standards, procedures and techniques
• Advanced knowledge of internal controls across the various business cycles, e.g. financial reporting, payroll, procurement, HR, etc.
• Expert knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Expertise in design, development and implementation of audit programmes
• Knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel
• Knowledge of Project Management would be an asset
