The incumbent processes guest check-ins/outs, handles payments, resolves guest requests, maintains accurate records, ensures rate compliance, assists with staff training, and upholds service standards while performing front desk operations.

 

CORE FUNCTIONS

Front Desk Responsibilities  

  • Process check-ins/check-outs, verify reservations, assign rooms, and issue keys  
  • Handle cashiering duties and complete closing reports  
  • Sell rooms to walk-in guests based on availability  
  • Verify room rates and document exceptions  
  • Scan and charge outlet purchases to guest rooms  
  • Review shift logs and document important information  
  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve guest requests  

Guest Service & Standards:  

  • Welcome guests professionally and assist those with disabilities  
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide genuine appreciation  
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect company assets  
  • Answer phones using proper etiquette  

Team & Safety Responsibilities:  

  • Assist in training, coaching, and disciplining staff  
  • Report safety hazards and complete required training  
  • Follow all company policies and procedures  
  • Maintain clean uniform and professional appearance  

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand/walk for extended periods  
  • Lift/carry up to 25 pounds  
  • Perform other duties as assigned  

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • License or Certification: None
