Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Risk Analyst – Enterprise Risk Management.

ACB Caribbean is seeking to recruit a qualified and experienced individual for the position of Risk Analyst – Enterprise Risk Management, to support the Senior Manager - Risk & Compliance in measuring, monitoring and mitigating enterprise risk throughout the Organization.

 

The duties to be performed include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and analyses across various departments and functions to identify potential risks that could impact the organization’s objectives.
  • Utilize quantitative and qualitative risk assessment methodologies to evaluate and prioritize risks.
  • Performs root-cause analysis on material risks identified and recommends process/mitigating measures to minimize occurrence. Monitor the implementation and escalate/ follow up on pervasive issues where necessary.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans to address identified risks in line with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and report on key risk indicators (KRIs) and assist in the development of risk reporting metrics for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business units to ensure risk considerations are integrated into their decision-making processes.
  • Conduct regular reviews of the risk management framework and recommend improvements based on emerging risks and best practices.
  • Assist in the preparation of risk-related documentation for internal and external audits, regulatory exams, and management presentations.
  • Assist in the preparation of regular risk reports for senior management, the Board of Directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Communicate risk-related information clearly and concisely to various audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
  • Facilitate risk management workshops and training sessions to raise awareness of risk management principles and practices within the organization.
  • Assists in the Risk Appetite Process, monitoring the key performance and key risk indicators and reports quarterly on the risk appetite metrics
  • Provide guidance and support to business units in the development of risk management policies and procedures.  Make recommendations for amendments and insertions as required.
  • Assist in the risk analysis and assessments as it relates to the Risk Management and Compliance Department’s function. Coordinates with the Operational Risk Officers on risk events.
  • Assist the Manager-Credit Risk in carefully evaluating loan requests, on a test basis, analyzing financial data, confirming collateral security, checking references and assessing risk accurately, and ensuring security exists and is properly in place to ensure accurate risk assessment and rating.
  • Coordinates meeting of the Enterprise Risk Management Committee (ERMC).  Prepare reports assigned; and follow up on progress of action items.

 

To perform the job successfully, the individual must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CRM, FRM, PRM) is an asset.
  • At least 2 to 5 years’ experience in Risk Management, Compliance, Internal Audit or a related field.  
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Proven track record of successfully identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks.
  • Proficient in risk management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements and industry standards related to risk management.
  • Sound knowledge of Basel II/III requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong organizational skills, sound judgement and investigative skills.
  • Proactive and results-oriented mindset. Maintains confidentiality.
