Position Overview
The Retail Store and Warehouse Manager will perform functions at AUTEC in support of store and warehouse management, demonstrate proficiency with warehouse management software, have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, problem-solving skills, knowledge of inventory control, and the ability to understand and navigate store and warehouse processes. Ability to analyze data and generate reports Time Management skills Interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with team members on the AUTEC project. This position requires the individual to be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.

Essential Responsibilities:
- Plans and directs the day-to-day operations of the AUTEC retail store and Warehouse.
- Manage on average 6 direct reports, having full authority for personnel actions. Hire and train multi-national employees, ensuring compliance with food safety handling and storage requirements, licensing requirements, create and maintain employee schedules, safeguard all money, and track inventory.
- Develops strategies to improve customer service, drive store sales, and increase profitability.
- Ensures customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient.
- Ensures all products and displays are merchandised neatly and effectively to maximize sales and profitability.
- Forecasts staffing needs and develops a recruiting strategy to provide optimal staffing in all areas.
- Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets.
- Formulate plans to ensure employee productivity, shelves are fully stocked, waste is minimized, the store is opened and closed, ensuring stock replenishments are conducted per the merchandising planogram, coordinating transfers, executing disposals, enforcing cleanliness, and receiving the merchandise into the store in conjunction with helping customers resolve issues as they arise.
- Become proficient in the use of the Point-of-Sale (POS) system as it pertains to executing duties and responsibilities within 30 days of start date and commit to ongoing training to keep skills relevant to the ERRP retail store requirements.
- Inspect incoming goods and handle discrepancies; check product quality, expiration date, and quantity to ensure the store is receiving products per the invoice and /or transfer.
- Track product life cycles by writing off and disposing of expired and spoiled products,
- Review trend in sales and subsequently make decisions that could reduce loss.
- Ensure product pricing is correct, and shelf tags are posted for all retail products and changed timely when prices change.
- Perform scheduled cycle counts and inventories.
- Follows all company policy and procedures and notifies management of any infractions.
- Conduct safety moments and monitor retail store areas for safety hazards; report any discrepancies for correction/ repair.
- Manage all areas of the retail warehouse operation to promote a continuous and efficient flow of goods and services.
- Develop storage and maintenance plans for warehouse, connex boxes, refrigerators, and freezers.
- Ensure inspection and acceptance by POS Administrator of any items being received.
- Process damaged products and materials as required.
- Respond proactively to warehouse facility maintenance and inspection issues.
- Hold weekly safety meetings and perform HazWaste and DRMO coordinator functions.
- Direct housekeeping and organizational duties.
- Manage compliance of policies governing all aspects of material handling.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Minimum requirements:
- 3 years of relevant experience in a warehouse or retail environment
- Associate’s degree, required
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to anticipate and solve problems in addition to the ability to provide timely, empathetic assistance that puts the customers at the forefront.
- PC literate with excellent data-entry skills and a working knowledge of Outlook 365, MS Word, and Excel
- Excellent time-management, oral and written communication skills.
- Must be flexible to work a non-traditional work week and non-traditional work hours, as required.
- Must be able to lift, move, or carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Must be able to reside in remote work location with limited medical facilities.
- Valid driver’s license and US Passport required

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred
- Certified Excel Microsoft Specialist, preferred.
