Regional ICT Officer

Key Responsibilities:

• Support and administration of commercial applications.
• Implement, document and maintain appropriate telecommunications systems, network infrastructure and connectivity solutions for secure and efficient flow of information to facilitate operations and decision-making processes
• Establish and provide high guarantee of stability and reliability of systems and networks in offices
• Evaluate and deploy new operating systems, standard WVIH applications, and new connectivity technologies.
• Perform system maintenance and ensure proper system operation in offices
• Ensure that staff in all offices have access to network resources.
• Establish and maintain appropriate security systems that secure data, networks and systems from internal and external threats. This will include physical and logical security solutions such as biometric access control, network firewall systems, Active Directory security, anti-virus, anti-spam, anti-spyware and personal firewalls
• Establish and maintain monitoring and reporting systems for ICT infrastructure; enabling preventative maintenance to ensure systems are operating at optimal levels.                
• Ensure proper documentation is completed daily for all daily problem solving tasks.
• Implement and maintain personal productivity tools such as corporate desktops, laptops, mobile phones, and software-based productivity tools such as Outlook email, office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Zoom, among others. This also includes upgrades to existing systems in accordance with NO standards and GCIT guidelines.
• Manage all support request calls and emails in the HelpDesk (ITSupport) system.
• Assign calls to the technical support team.
• SLA commitments are met or exceeded.
• At least two years of experience in such systems
• Extensive knowledge of design, implementation and troubleshooting of systems and networks.
• Strong technical knowledge and skills in Windows server network management, LAN/WAN installation and configuration, voice system (PBX), Lotus Notes and Outlook, server administration. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or a related field
• Data processing and analysis skills
• Management information system skills
• Ability to repair ICT equipment and systems
