The Public Health Nurse manages Primary Health Care services, prepares program plans, collaborates with team members on targets and strategies, and ensures the Referral System for continuous patient care.

 

Job Purpose

  • Responsible for the Primary Health Care
  • Nursing Service in the parish of assignment
  • Preparing programme plans to meet parish goals.
  • Collaborating with other team members in setting targets and planning strategies for implementation.
  • Ensuring the establishment and maintenance of the Referral System for continuity of client/patient care.

 

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (3 years)
  • Registered Midwife (1 year)
  • Certificate/Diploma Public Health Nursing (1 year)
  • Certificate in Advanced Nursing Administration/Diploma Community Health
  • UWI (1 year) or equivalent
  • Registration with Nursing council as Nurse and Midwife
