Planning Technologist

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Diploma in Urban/Physical Planning, Geography or equivalent 
• At least three years' experience in a planning environment. 

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Sound knowledge of research methodologies, survey techniques and statistical methods. 
• Knowledge of physical planning techniques. 
• Sound knowledge of relevant computer applications and systems.
• Analytic and problems-solving skits
• Oral and written communication skills
• Interpersonal and team skits 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

• Reports to: Physical Planner 

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assess applications for development approvals
• Process applications for the erection of private advertising structures, along with the Data Analyst, set up and monitor a database of facilities at at intersections and along roadway segments and periodically update information,
• Investigations and responding to complaints.
• Prepare/recommend layout of projected traffic flow and circulation patterns for traffic management projects.
• Collaborate with Planning and Research Managers in developing long-term road network plans.
• Represent the Agency at assigned Planning/Development committee
