Leads and organizes daily maintenance, overseeing installations, minor construction, equipment commissioning, and staff adherence to policies for efficient operations.

 

Job Purpose

Responsible for efficiently leading, planning and organizing the daily maintenance activities of the Unit through the scheduling and execution of preventative and corrective maintenance activities; overseeing the installation of fixtures, fittings, construction of minor work and the de/commissioning of electrical, electromechanical, biomedical and plumbing equipment and systems. The incumbent is also responsible for providing guidance to the maintenance staff and ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to.
 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related Engineering field or General Construction

OR

  • First Degree in Facility Management/Business Administration/Public Administration; plus
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in a similar capacity
  • Any equivalent combination of qualification and experience
  • Certification in Supervisor Management would be an asset
