Larvicidal Worker (HSC/HS 1) - St. Mary Health Department

Required Qualification & Experience:

• Secondary Level Education 
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in Vector Control 

Specific Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Good interpersonal skills 
• Good oral communication skills 
• Good analytical skills and sound judgment 
• Good time management skills 

Key responsibilities will include but not limited:

• Inspect water collection areas on a daily basis 
• Oil mosquito breeding places on a daily basis 
• Collect mosquito samples for identification purposes 
• Report problem area(s) to Public Health Inspector where necessary 
• Remove oil from spray pump after usage 
• Any other duties required from time to time 
• Assist in adulticidal mosquito control activities 
• Assist Aedes/Insect Inspector with surveillance duties 
• Assist in the general mosquito control activities within the parish
