Exceeds beverage targets by fostering a guest-focused culture, managing bar staff professionalism, utilizing MedallionClass tools, overseeing POS and inventory processes, reporting financial trends, and ensuring sales accuracy.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Consistently exceeds Beverage defined targets, by driving a personalized guest and teammate-centric culture, and reducing friction points.
  • Actively ensures that all food service staff in all bar locations are always acting as company ambassadors and displaying a positive and professional impression 
  • Takes full ownership of any negative service interactions and ensures a timely, effective and personalized service recovery takes place, documenting and escalating accordingly
  • Owns and ensures utilization of Princess MedallionClass products, services and applications throughout their areas to drive engagement in delivering a guest and teammate-centric experience.
  • Ensures teammates are processing guest orders promptly and accurately through the correct onboard POS system, providing guidance and support where needed.
  • Takes an active lead in bar counts in high-traffic areas across the vessel. 
  • Circulates in Beverage areas to ensure that all bar food and consumable orders are being ordered in conjunction with the needs of the business and items are not overstocked or expired. 
  • Actively provides feedback to the Bar Manager on voyage financial performance and identifies potential revenue opportunities during the cruise based on guest behavior and trends. 
  • Accurately enters and reconciles customer orders such as the Champagne waterfall, Chef’s Table, Catering Transfer etc
  • Accurately and timely inputs all transfers and B&&U in Crunchtime to avoid any incorrect accounting.  Report any irregularities or trends to the Bar Manager
  • Conducts Crew Cambusa sales in accordance with standards documented in Princess Ways. 
  • Ensuring all sales are documented by individual crew member for visibility and tracking purposes
  • Monitors the sale of Beverage packages on board during the first days of the voyage. 
  • Ensures the training and full utilization of the Dining Reservation System & MedallionClass applications to support a frictionless and efficient guest experience, maximize revenue and venue(s) capacity
  • Assists in ensures that hours, manning levels, and beverage service execution are correct in all Public Lounges, Dining Room, WFM, Horizon Court, Bellbox, Crew Bar/Wardroom, and Open Deck areas.
  • Ensures all beverage areas have the correct setup, appearance, and ambiance.
  • Reviews Bar schedules in conjunction with the Bar Supervisor’s to identify shortages. Ensures that manning levels are forecasted correctly based on upcoming Food and Entertainment schedule.
  • Accurately maintains all maintenance logs and technical defects and promptly schedules vendor repairs and services.
  • Mentors the bar team through coaching, training, and ongoing development to support career progression. 
  • Clearly communicates any performance appraisals/issues with teammates to the Bar Manager in a timely manner
  • Assists the Bar Manager in ensuring all bar teammates maintain and complete structured training that enhances all key elements of their roles.

 

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

Minimum one (1) year of proven experience as Assistant Food & Beverage Manager or in similar roles in high-volume F&&B operations (Hotel/Hospitality related fields or Cruise Industry).
Strong analytical skills - Candidates must be able to assist in the day-to-day logistics of Beverage Svc to increase productivity.
Strong problem-solving skills - Candidates must be able to solve customer complaints and provide support to staff members.
Strong customer service skills - Candidates must be able to interact with customers regularly, greeting them and addressing their complaints.
Fluent English Language Skills, both verbal and written.
Advanced computer skills involve using MS Office programs, F&&B management software, POS).
Preferably a graduate of a recognized hotel/catering/culinary school.
Understanding of the foundation of guest service; ability and willingness to deliver outstanding service to our guests. 
Personable communicator with outstanding social skills and a warm, friendly, and caring personality. 
Ability to continuously surprise and delight guests throughout their cruise experience. 
Commitment to establish and maintain courteous and professional working relationships in a diverse cultural environment.
