Head of the Mathematics Department: Teacher of Mathematics and Computer Science

Job overview

There is an expectation that the American style SAT Mathematics will be integrated into the Mathematics programme. The successful candidate will also be required to teach Computer Science from Years 7 - 9. This position requires that the successful candidate has had previous experience leading a Mathematics Department. 

All applicants for the above positions should hold strong academic qualifications: 

• A Bachelor’s degree in the teaching subject(s) and teacher training certification (BEd, MEd, PGCE/QTS etc.).
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in teaching the subject(s) is a requirement.
• A willingness to contribute to the School’s extensive extracurricular programme is essential. Prospective teachers should also be comfortable with the use of technology in the classroom.
• All applicants must meet the requirements for a Bermuda Teachers’ License.

The successful candidate will be required to provide a recent police check and complete SCARS and CPR Training.
