The incumbent leads hospital marketing strategy, enhances public image, fosters stakeholder relationships, and collaborates with leadership to drive growth, patient satisfaction, and brand presence locally and internationally.

 

Job Purpose

The Director of Marketing plays a pivotal role in developing and executing the hospital's marketing strategy, aligning it with the institution's overall mission and objectives. This leadership position is responsible for promoting the hospital’s services, enhancing its public image, and fostering a strong relationship with the community and key stakeholders. The Director of Marketing will work closely with hospital leadership and the executive team to design and implement marketing strategies that support growth, improve patient satisfaction, and strengthen the hospital’s brand presence both locally and internationally.

 

Essential Functions

  • Strategic Planning & Execution:
  • Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with the hospital’s goals, vision, and values.
  • Brand Management:
  • Oversee the hospital's corporate brand, ensuring consistency and cohesion across all marketing materials, communications, and digital platforms.
  • Work to shape and enhance the hospital's identity, both internally and externally.
  • Community Relations & Outreach:
  • Act as the primary liaison between the hospital and the community, ensuring the hospital is seen as a trusted and engaged healthcare provider.
  • Develop outreach programs to increase community awareness and engagement.
  • Digital & Social Media Marketing:
  • Oversee the hospital’s digital marketing initiatives, including the website, social media platforms, and digital advertising.
  • Drive online engagement and ensure all content is consistent with the hospital's brand messaging.
  • Market Analysis & Reporting:
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify new opportunities and monitor the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Use data-driven insights to guide decision-making and optimize marketing efforts.
  • Internal Collaboration:
  • Partner with all departments, leadership, and external vendors to create marketing materials and campaigns that promote hospital services, recruitment, and patient satisfaction.

 

Communications and Relations:

  • Responsible for strategic communications and relations with the public, within and across DHHS, with Shareholders - the AGM, with local business partners and community, and business partners beyond The Bahamas.

 

 



Required Qualifications:

Qualifications and Experience
A minimum of five years of progressive marketing experience, with at least three years in a leadership or management role in a healthcare setting.
Master’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Communications, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Certification in healthcare marketing or a related field is a plus.
Experience in public relations, digital marketing, brand management, and market analysis within the healthcare industry is highly preferred.
Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge:
Advanced knowledge of graphic design, publishing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), and web development tools is a plus.
Deep understanding of Marketing strategies and best practices.
Knowledge of social media platforms and their administration.
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications.
Experience with marketing automation platforms, analytics tools, and digital marketing campaigns is highly desirable.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Abilities:
Ability to align Marketing initiatives with organizational goals.
Ability to develop healthcare marketing strategies and understand patient and consumer behavior, and market trends.
Ability to build strong relationships with employees, managers, and stakeholders.
