The Coordinator, Personal and Professional Development is responsible for the facilitation of programme delivery for CELEARN. The Coordinator PPD will oversee the delivery of all professional development courses for the community of Grand Bahama.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

The position of Coordinator of Personal and Professional Development is required to perform a variety of tasks including but not limited to the following: 

  • Constant monitoring of all calls, texts, and WhatsApp messages on the department’s mobile phone as well as the main line used in all marketing and promotional materials of our courses; 
  • Establish and maintain broadcast lists for each new cohort of students enrolled in programs and short courses; 
  • Issue daily updates to all registered and enrolled students; 
  • Update student status on the shared PPD Microsoft Teams document; 
  • Prepare and disseminate weekly and/or monthly payment reminders and/or course updates to currently enrolled students and prospective students; 
  • Prepare and disseminate instructor information via email and WhatsApp including but not limited to course start, end and exam date, ZOOM log-in credentials, remuneration rate and class lists; Schedule and organize ZOOM classes (on department’s Zoom accounts) for every course and update the ZOOM schedule sheet to reflect any changes; 
  • Prepare monthly faculty claim sheets and contracts for Director’s approval;
  • Prepare and submit monthly instructor payment requisitions and follow up on review & approvals; 
  • Monitor and update CELEARN UB North's social media pages (Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram); 
  • Manage and coordinate special projects, including CELEARN’S Annual Awards Ceremony for all students who successfully complete PPD programs; 
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and customer-friendly relationships with both students and instructors; 
  • Prioritize, track, and follow up on all delinquent payments; 
  • Attend and facilitate recruitment exercises at various schools, businesses, civic organizations and clubs and government agencies and events, such as Career Fairs;
  • Assist with registration and enrollment of new students for Personal and Professional Development courses; 
  • Prepare and disseminate all course information including but not limited to the course start, end, and exam date, ZOOM link to access classes, and student procedure document to all newly enrolled students; 
  • Facilitate the creation of all graphics and social media flyers for all PPD programs and short courses for advertising; 
  • Provide assistance and support as required for budget preparation and special projects; REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; 
  • Outstanding critical thinking and analytical abilities; 
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a talent for fostering teamwork; 
  • Strong digital and technical skills; 
  • Proven capability to collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders;
  • Exceptional organizational skills; 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work effectively in an active environment;
  • A strong sense of personal responsibility and professionalism; 
  • Knowledge of graphic design software and video conferencing systems.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent AND at least four (4) years post-qualification work experience at the AS-1 level.
