Support gender and diversity integration in operations, policy dialogues, research, reporting, and tools, while coordinating technical cooperation and addressing the division’s business needs.

 

This is what you will do

  • Support the Bank's operations in mainstreaming Gender and Diversity in their design and implementation.
  • Participate in the execution of the Bank's operations that contribute to gender equality or the inclusion of diversity.
  • Support in the monitoring of contracts and coordination with counterparts of non-reimbursable technical cooperation
  • Assist in the preparation of corporate reports.
  • Participate in policy dialogues with government authorities and development partners.
  • Participate in cutting-edge research on gender and diversity issues.
  • Support the development of dissemination products, events and learning tools.
  • Collaborate in the development of operational and analytical dashboards for the Gender and Diversity Division.
  • Other activities according to the business needs of the Gender and Diversity Division.

 

This is what you need

  • Education: Master's degree in applied economics or public policy.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of professional experience, of which 3 years must be in policy development and operational experience. The candidate must also have experience working on gender issues and at least one of the four diverse population groups on which the IDB focuses. Knowledge and experience in the use of statistical/econometric techniques and software and in the management of microdata is required; with good communication skills (oral and written) and ability to work in a team.
  • Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, both oral and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferred.

Requirements

  • Citizenship: You are a citizen of the Dominican Republic or a citizen of one of our 48 member countries, with legal residence or permission to work in the Dominican Republic.
  • Consanguinity: You do not have family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including the spouse) who work at the IDB, IDB Invest or IDB Lab.
