A dynamic mid-sized Grenada Company is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the post of Chief Accountant. The Company is diverse, and currently trades in Distribution, Financial services, Retailing and Property.


Role:
The Chief Accountant is responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the Company. The individual must be capable of leading changes in an evolving accounting environment and oversee the usual monthly reporting and strategic planning activities as requirements by management.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, accounting reports and financial statements preparation.
  • Maintain accounting records including fixed assets, payables, and receivables.
  • Review the department’s operations to ensure compliance with the standard operating procedures.
  • Management of inventory, schedule inventory counts and ensure proper control and compliance and report deviations.
  • Review of payables, receivables, cash management and banking and report deviations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate statutory reporting and compliance.
  • Conducting internal reviews and reporting on the findings and recommendations.
  • Manage the implementation of projects to ensure objectives are met and completed timely.
  • Review existing policies and procedures and update or make amendments where required.


Requirements
The successful candidate should be a member of ACCA or equivalent and should be results oriented and able to lead in a diverse accounting environment.

Key requirements

  • ACCA/CPA or another recognized institute.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
  • A solid background in accounting with strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with accounting software are assumed.


The Package
Renumeration will be commensurate with experience and qualification.
