As the Canteen Chef for our Employee Cafeteria, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of Caribbean Island cooking, effective leadership skills, and a hands-on approach to ensure the successful execution of culinary tasks. This role involves using software for food ordering, overseeing food preparation, and serving over 500 team members daily.

1. Leadership and Team Management:

  - Lead and motivate kitchen staff to maintain a positive and efficient work environment.

  - Provide clear direction, training, and support to ensure the team meets culinary standards.

2. Caribbean Island Cooking Expertise:

  - Showcase your knowledge and expertise in Caribbean Island cooking to create flavorful and authentic dishes.

3. Operational Efficiency:

  - Utilize software for efficient food ordering from the storeroom, ensuring adequate inventory levels.

  - Oversee the proper receipt, storage, issuance, and preparation of food items.

4. Quality Control:

  - Implement and uphold high standards for food quality, presentation, and safety.

  - Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

5. Volume Cooking:

  - Coordinate and manage the preparation and cooking of meals for over 500 team members daily.

  - Efficiently handle high-volume situations while maintaining quality.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Kitchen Manager, preferably in a high-volume cafeteria or similar setting.

-  Strong leadership and communication skills.

- Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
