The Western Regional Health Authority (a Statutory Body under the Ministry of Health & Wellness) is currently seeking to employ Artisans (Electricians) (LMO/TS 4) for the Falmouth Public General Hospital.

 

Responsibilities

  • Install electrical fixtures such as junction boxes, wiring, switches and circuit breakers
  • Inspect, investigate, and solve conditions for unusual odours caused by electrical issues
  • Inspect equipment grounding components such as conductors and connections
  • Tighten electrical connections including outlets, breakers and panels 
  • Verify grounding of the equipment and associated neutral where applicable
  • Identify and report major electrical problems to the Maintenance Manager in writing
  • Remove and re-install light fixtures, transformers, motor controllers, relays, ballasts and fluorescent fixtures 

 

Qualifications

  • HEART Level 3 Certification in Electrical Maintenance 
  • Three (3) years experience working in a similar capacity 

 

Requirements

  • Good oral and written communication skills 
  • Ability to use hand and power tools of the trade skillfully and safely 
  • Ability to commission/decommission generators and other electrical equipment
  • Must be able to read, interpret and work from sketches, plans and specifications
