POSITION OVERVIEW

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Anesthesiologist/Pain Management Specialist to provide anesthesia services and effective pain management solutions to patients undergoing surgery or dealing with chronic pain conditions. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer anesthesia to patients for surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort
  • Evaluate patients pre-operatively to determine the appropriate anesthesia plan based on individual medical conditions
  • Provide pain management services for patients with chronic pain, including those with musculoskeletal, neuropathic, or oncological pain
  • Utilize a wide range of pain management techniques such as nerve blocks, epidurals, spinal injections, and other interventional procedures
  • Monitor patients during surgery or procedure recovery to assess pain levels and adjust anesthesia and analgesia accordingly
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all procedures, medications, and patient interactions
  • Educate patients on pain management options, recovery protocols, and post-procedure care
  • Stay up to date with advancements in anesthesia techniques, pain procedures, and relevant medical literature
  • Participate in multidisciplinary pain management teams to develop effective treatment plans
  • Ensure compliance with medical policies, safety protocols, and all relevant regulatory standards

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • MD or DO degree with board certification/board eligibility in Anesthesiology
  • Fellowship training or certification in Pain Management is preferred
  • Active and unrestricted state medical license
  • Strong clinical knowledge of anesthesia techniques, pain management, and relevant pharmacology
  • Experience in performing interventional pain management procedures such as nerve blocks, injections, and spinal cord stimulation
  • Ability to manage patients with acute and chronic pain in a compassionate and effective manner
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
  • Ability to manage complex pain cases and handle high-pressure situations

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Fellowship training in Pain Management or interventional pain management techniques
  • Experience with both acute and chronic pain populations, including those with cancer-related pain or musculoskeletal disorders
  • Additional certifications or expertise in specific pain management modalities such as regenerative medicine, biofeedback, or acupuncture
