Under the general direction of the Payment Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the preparation of payment vouchers and the maintenance of registers for externally funded agency projects and the Ministry.

The incumbent will provide administrative support to the Senior Director, Transport Policy (International and Land) in order to ensure that the operations of the Unit are carried out in an efficient manner.

The incumbent provides administrative support to the Permanent Secretary, including managing correspondence, meetings, calendars, filing systems, financial monitoring, travel arrangements, data preparation, and ensuring efficient office operations.

The incumbent will provide support within the Human Resource Branch, with particular emphasis on maintaining pension/retirement related records, pension matters, employee benefit programmes and assists with other administrative duties.

The incumbent manages employee relations, health, and wellness programs, develops policies, oversees disciplinary processes, ensures occupational health compliance, and fosters a harmonious work environment through strategic planning and engagement.

The Statistician provides statistical advisory services, develops and maintains databases, analyzes data, and produces reports to support policy development and monitoring in science, energy, telecommunication, and transport.

The Executive Director oversees policy coordination, advisory services, and high-level liaison to advance science, technology, and innovation as tools for Jamaica's socio-economic development.

The Principal Director, Transport Policy, advises on, develops, and monitors transport and road safety policies, ensuring integrated, sustainable, and multimodal transport services across Jamaica, including air and maritime sectors.

The Director, Telecommunications oversees national telecommunications policies, spectrum management, infrastructure, and regulatory compliance, fostering ICT growth, accessibility, and global competitiveness through collaboration with stakeholders.

The role coordinates activities, partnerships, and agreements to advance the Ministry's science, energy, and technology goals, while preparing briefs, managing projects, and ensuring compliance with international standards.
